Balloons & Macarons - More of Annabelle's 2nd Birthday

Annabelle's birthday was such a special day! My mother-in-law found a party-perfect dress with a balloon print this past summer, and since kids love balloons and sweets, we went with a balloons and macarons theme.

A girly girl, Annabelle loves pink (and her momma does too!) so we had lots of pink in our color scheme, along with some yellow and orange accents to mirror the pattern in Annabelle's dress. Beacuse it's always a good call to plan your party around your outfit, right?!

I hand-lettered her invitation and drew balloons and macarons, along with a wreath in homage to the ultimate macaron mecca, Laduree. Nest Paper Studio printed our invitations. I used a neon red Sakura Gelly Roll pen to address her envelopes and vintage balloon themed stamps from TreasureFox on Etsy. Zig zag washi tap completed the suite and sealed our envelopes in a fun way!

For her party I created a bunting banner out of bristol paper, glitter tap found at the dollar store (major score!) and lettered in Tombow brush pens. My father-in-law actually is an amazing baker as a hobby and baked our delicious macarons....amazing I know....and I used edible ink pens to decorate them with As and 2s. Spray-painted pumpkins served as a focal point for our tablescape since her birthday falls on Halloween.

Nest Paper Studio ensured we had plenty of giant balloons to complement Annabelle's dress. A balloon artist kept the kids entertained which was really useful since it poured down rain all day and we were inside our house the whole party.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out in the rain to celebrate our wonderful blessing on her 2nd birthday! Hope y'all enjoy the pics and check out more of her invitations here.

xo,

B
